Joining in on the abuzz atmosphere at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Zooey Deschanel made her grand arrival ahead of the 69th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday evening (January 15).
The newly-single "New Girl" actress donned a black and neon green dress as she worked the red carpet alongside her "Bones" actress sister Emily before heading inside for the sure-to-be entertaining festivities.
Among the nominees this year, Miss Deschanel is in the running for Best Actress in a TV Series Comedy or Musical honors for her "New Girl" role.
Of being among the contenders, Zooey told E! News, "I am completely overwhelmed with happiness! This is a huge vote of confidence for nerdy girls everywhere! I am so lucky to have this amazing job, and to collaborate with this incredible cast, crew, team of writers and producers. I am so grateful to the HFPA for giving us all this honor and grateful to be nominated with such talented and amazing ladies who I respect so much."
With the live televised event to be aired on NBC beginning at 8 p.m. ET, the ceremony is presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association while being hosted by Ricky Gervais.
