Rooney Mara: Golden Globe Black Beauty

Vying for one of the biggest awards of the night, Rooney Mara was among the stars on-hand for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, California.

Taking place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday evening (January 15), the 26-year-old actress was quite a hit as she worked the arrivals area clad in an all-black ensemble.

Currently seeing quite the rise in her stardom, Miss Mara is up for Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture for her "Dragon Tattoo" role while competing against Glenn Close, Viola Davis, Meryl Streep and Tilda Swinton.

Along with selecting the tops in cinema, the show also chose Morgan Freeman to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award for career achievement.

As for the ceremony, Ricky Gervais is the host of the Golden Globe Awards - which air live on NBC beginning at 8PM ET/PT.
