Find Out The Personalities that Go With The Funny Irish T-Shirts

By Jason Birch

When I say that I am a long-standing veteran of Saint Patrick's Day festivities, I really mean it. I have been going out and partying on St. Pat's most venerable of days since I was 19 years old. I've seen a lot of crazy things over the years, and I've become a much less crazy individual as the years go by. Being older and wiser now, I believe I've noticed that the funny Irish t-shirts people wear are a fair indicator of their own party-time motivations.

There are some people out there who wear funny Irish t-shirts that are covered in leprechauns and silly cartoon characters. What have I noticed about this breed of party-goer? They aren't Irish, that's what! They have this mental image of what Irish people are and it comes straight from a Lucky Charms box. They are there to party, and it just so happens to be Saint Patrick's Day.

There are plenty of people at a Saint Patrick's Day celebration who are going to be wearing funny Irish t-shirts that are based around jokes concerning more intimate relations with the opposite sex. They may brush these shirts off as just jokes, but you can be assured that they have one goal and one goal only before the night is done. I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

If you're at a party or a bar on Saint Patrick's Day, then it goes without saying that you are there to drink some alcohol and have fun. The people who are wearing funny Irish t-shirts that talk about getting drunk seems almost redundant. The reality is that these are the people who drink two or three times a week. Saint Patrick's Day is just as good excuse as any to go out and get smashed.

The very last, and definitely not the least, group of St. Paddy's Day revelers are the people wearing funny Irish t-shirts that speak of real heritage and history. These shirt have genuine Celtic words on them or reference real places or historical events. These are you true sons and daughters of Ireland. If they don't have green blood running through their veins, then they at least have enough sense to honor the Irish. That makes them my favorite people, and I'll buy them a beer every time.
