Russell Brand lands in LA with a smile on his face as he prepares for a meeting with Katy

For the first time since his split from Katy Perry, Russell Brand actually had a smile on his face when he landed in LA yesterday.

Alright, so it wasn't much of a smile but it's a start at least. The comedian has returned to America for this evening's Golden Globes, but is also intending to meet up with his ex-wife at the hotel she's currently staying in.

Despite the meeting, unfortunately a reunion doesn't seem to be on the cards; the two are just getting together to discuss the terms of their separation.

Meanwhile Russell Brand has rented out a very impressive looking, and very expensive, Hollywood home for himself, which has all the hallmarks of an amazing bachelor pad including; a kitchen made almost entirely from stainless steel, a shower as big as a bedroom and a massive pool. Expect his old shenanigans to recommence imminently.
